Visualizations have always been something good to have on the screen when we don't use the computer for anything else than playing music. Each player has its own visualizations and finding new ones can be challenging, especially when it comes to old players. An excellent alternative is Luminant Music, which plays high-quality animations that react to your music, regardless of its source. The software's functionality is pretty simple, but it can liven up a room if you play its visualizations on a big screen.

You can try Luminant Music for free, but with some minor limitations. It's compatible with all popular Windows versions, and it doesn't rely on any third-party tools or services. The setup file is well over half a GB large, and it takes around a minute to install its components on your computer.

The program has a fairly simple user interface. You can find basic playback controls on its lower edge, while the visualization selection options are located on the upper edge. Both sets of controls are only visible when you hover with the mouse cursor in the respective areas so that the visualization may take up the entire interface, which looks amazing if you set it to full-screen mode.

Luminant Music comes with a wide range of beautifully 3D-rendered animations, which react just like an oscilloscope to your songs. Even if you pick the simplest visualization, you will see that there's nothing simple with this piece of software. Every scene played on the user interface looks sleek and modern. Rather than showing a few colored bars or waves, the software integrates them in various sceneries, like balloons, speakers, fireworks or city skylines in a 3D environment.

The best thing about Luminant Music is that it reacts to sound regardless of where it comes from. It works as a stand-alone audio player, so you can compile playlists and enjoy your music, but you can also set it to react to online radio broadcasts, microphone input or to system sounds. In other words, you can continue using your favorite media player while Luminant Music will provide you with its stunning graphics.

The software switches between animations automatically, and it gives you full control to decide how long it should stay on each of them, how to make the transition and so on. What's more, Luminant Music comes with a built-in video editor, which you can use to create music videos with the available animations. Despite its simplicity, the editor has a good amount of options, and it's quite easy to learn. Also, the output options it places at your disposal allow you to share your music videos with your friends on Facebook or upload it to YouTube without any difficulties.

Your music will be much more enjoyable while Luminant Music is playing its stunning animations on your screen.

Pros

The software comes with a wide range of beautiful visualizations for your music. It reacts to sound from any source, including online radio broadcasts and system sounds. You can also use its animations to create music videos.

Cons

The trial version lets you see only a handful of animations.
